Excellent product. I have purchased several different type of cooling fans and this is far superior to any other brand or type purchased. The fan only runs when needed and will shut off automatically shortly after you power down your console. I would highly recommend this product as preventative maintenance for your console, because the Xbox 360 does overheat and thus far Microsoft has done very little to correct the issue.

this is a must have for your xbox. the unit is built very well and fits very precisely where it should, and has an external power supply as well. my xbox never even gets warm since i installed this piece, even after an 8 hour session. highly recommend this product for anyone with an xbox.

This cooling fan is loud as many other owners have stated it to be; however, it gets the job done. I just received mines today, and already I see immediate results. I play a lot of Left 4 Dead 2, Gears of War 2, and Mass Effect 2—these games alone require long lengths at the controller, and sometimes you need to take a break for about an hour or two. Before whenever I left my system unattended I could count on it to be warmer than it should. One method that I suggest that everyone should do is to install your games directly to the hard drive, this will cut-down on the power needed to run the gaming disks, and keep the console cooler. This method works pretty/fairly well, but the console will still get warm, so now with the intercooler I’m expecting a much more cooler console than what I had before. I’m thinking of standing my console vertically, so I’m wondering if I added another fan that’s advertised on here (a glow-stand vertical cooler) will that make the system even cooler than just with the intercooler itself? Something to think about. The concept of cooling fans really came from Amateur Radio Operators as “Ham-Rigs” get 10x hotter than the 360, so I’m also considering having my ham-buddy help me rig-up some more fans instead…will see if I can make my own vertical fans…good way to save the dough! Anyways, I highly recommend this product to anyone seeking to push the 360 console pass it’s 3-Ring-of-Death Lifespan.

I must say this is an excellent accessory to add on to your xbox if you want to keep it playing for a long long time. I just got it today and I am baffled at how its doing for my xbox. The Temper-smart detects the heat of your xbox at a certain level and then turns on when needed. It’s power runs off it’s own A/C current so no need to steal power (even performance) from your 360. I must admit though, when playing at night in a quiet spacious area such as a living, the noise can be somewhat loud but not distracting. IMO every 360 owner should get one otherwise cough up even more when that rrod comes up.

After my 1st red ring I had to get one. great fan because it uses ac power from the wall rather than usb/break your 360. Turns on/off automatically, but sometimes it sounds like its hitting something because it get pretty loud. I use this in tandem with a fan/stand underneath the 360. Does the job.
