Treasure Seekers: The Enchanted Canvases

This is one of the best hidden object/adventure/puzzle games that I played. There are six chapters. Within each chapter are several scenes. You first need to figure out how to get the scene started, once you uncover the first puzzle, the chapter begins. Some items require you to find several objects to make them work. Often you are required to go back and forth between scenes to find all the necessary objects. You will sometimes need to combine objects or use objects from your inventory to open a door, etc. The game was not hard, but challenging enough to be interesting. The graphics are clear and beautiful, the puzzles are fun, and the hidden objects are not so hard that they are impossible to find. The hint system will let you choose to skip any tough puzzles if you play on the untimed version. The puzzles were creative and varied. The dialog was fairly snappy. The game took about four hours total and I would have been happy to play about 10 more chapters. It is appropriate for children (no violence or language issues); however, my eight year old was a little freaked out by the werewolves and vampires. This game is about 2/3 hidden object and 1/3 puzzles. If you only like the hidden object component, this may not be the game for you.
