Based on the Disney – Pixar animated feature of the same name, Up the video game takes players on the PlayStation Portable platform on an exotic adventure with Carl Fredricksen and his young sidekick, Wilderness Explorer Russell, as they set off on a wild journey through the undiscovered jungles of South America. Players will be able to experience all four main characters from the movie — Carl, Russell, Dug the lovable dog or Kevin the prehistoric bird — and will enjoy the action both in a single player campaign and with a friend cooperatively throughout the entire game.

On this journey players will encounter exciting, new environments as they navigate through treacherous jungle terrains, battle dangerous creatures and trek the slippery slopes of the Amazonian Tepuis. Playable Characters and Storyline

	Carl Carl Fredricksen is not your average hero. He’s a retired balloon salesman, who is forced to leave the house he and his wife built together. But instead of moving into an old folks home, Carl takes action. He ties thousands of balloons to the roof, lifts the house into the air and sets off for South America, fulfilling the promise he made to his wife years before. However, Carl’s plan is challenged by the discovery of a stowaway, the optimistic, overly eager Russell. Carl’s journey tests more than his patience when the duo must survive the extreme weather, treacherous terrain, and strange inhabitants of a lost world – as well as each other.
	Russell Russell is an enthusiastic and persistent 8-year-old Junior Wilderness Explorer. Armed with a backpack laden with gear, he is ready for the wilderness. The problem is that he’s never actually left the city. All his knowledge of the outdoors comes from books, and his sole camping experience was in his own living room. He’s just one “Assisting the Elderly” badge shy of achieving his lifetime goal: Senior Wilderness Explorer. When he targets Carl Fredricksen as the elder he will assist, Russell ends up as an unwitting stowaway on Carl’s porch when the house takes flight and finds himself on the true outdoor adventure he’s been dreaming about.
	Kevin Named “Kevin” by Russell, this extremely rare, 13-foot-tall flightless bird is hidden from the world in its remote Paradise Falls habitat. Kevin is exceptionally fast and nimble despite its size. In fact, the massive bird often gets into some very curious and seemingly impossible positions. Very few know that this scientifically valuable creature exists, but Carl and Russell stumble upon the bird, which Russell names Kevin after he discovers they share a sweet tooth. Kevin and Russell bond instantly, and despite the bird’s propensity to swallow Carl’s walker, Kevin joins the jungle’s most unlikely pack, along with Carl, Russell and Dug.
	Dug Dug is a lovable golden mutt living in the wilds of Paradise Falls as part of the dog pack searching for the rare, flightless bird. Like the rest of his pack, Dug is outfitted with a remarkable high-tech collar that translates his thoughts into speech. But Dug is mocked as the nerd of the pack. Sent into the jungle on a “special” mission, Dug accidentally succeeds when he discovers the bird following Carl and Russell. As they’re pursued through the jungle by his own pack, the sweet, but simple-minded Dug must decide to which pack he actually belongs.

Star Ocean: First Departure

Thanks to Square-Enix, the original Star Ocean has finally made it to the United States in the form of Star Ocean: First Departure. A PSP remake of Star Ocean, which was never released in the U.S., First Departure adds several new elements, including all new backgrounds and a tweaked battle system, while still preserving the exciting storyline and themes of the original.

Back to the Beginning
It is Space Date 346, and in a sleepy town on the planet Roak, defense-force members Roddick, Millie, and Dorn are on yet another dull patrol when a mysterious plague begins turning people to stone. Fortunately, Ronyx and Ilia, members of a Terran Alliance reconnaissance mission, beam down to the surface just in time. They explain that the plague is actually a biological weapon, and they take the defense-force to the space vessel to discuss how to save Roak from this mysterious attack.

The majority of this role-playing game (RPG) actually takes place in the past, because the party realizes that the only way to save the people of Roak is to collect a particular genetic sample from the Roak of old. The game play of First Departure is fairly traditional RPG that has you moving about the world map on your journey, traversing towns and dungeons, progressing the plot as you go.

Choose the Right Strategy
You enter battle either using basic melee attacks, special arts that require MP points and that can grow more powerful with use, or spells that also require MP points but take time to cast and can be interrupted before completion.

Tactics let you set strategy commands for your characters before they enter battle and can be changed in the middle of battle. All characters will fight according to their set strategy, with different situations requiring different strategies.

Private actions are sometimes offered as a character approaches a town on the world map. These private actions depend on timing as well as which characters you have with you as you enter town.. The outcome of these private actions will affect subsequent private actions, for better or worse.

All New Artwork and New Characters
Star Ocean: First Departure uses a slightly altered version of the engine used for Star Ocean: The Second Story, but with many similar features. However, the pre-rendered backgrounds and 3D battle fields have been given new artwork and animated cut-scenes, and new playable characters have been added.

First Departure has been given a much more dynamic battle system, letting you control a character while the AI handles your teammates. During battle, characters can move freely about the field, executing normal attacks with the X button, and performing special attacks with the L or R triggers. What’s more, you can switch characters at any time with a quick press of the Circle button.

First Departure also features an item creation system that lets you create new weapons and items to help you in battle, and an extensive skill system for developing your character as you play. You can boost certain party attributes, spending SP on skills to increase your fighters’ speed in battle, for example, or spend points that develop your item creation ability and raise your character’s strength.

Dante’s Inferno

Dante’s Inferno is an epic single player, third-person action adventure game inspired by “Inferno”, part one of Dante Alighieri’s classic Italian poem, “The Divine Comedy.” Featuring beautifully rendered nonstop action, signature and upgradable weapons, attack combos and mana-fueled spells and the choice of punishing or absolving the souls of defeated enemies, it is a classic Medieval tale of the eternal conflict with sin and the resulting horrors of hell, adapted for a new generation and a new medium.

Story
The Italian mercenary Dante returns home from the bloodletting that was the Third Crusade to two pieces of soul-crushing news. The first is that although he was assured that he was absolved of mortal sins committed in the form of wartime atrocities in the name of the churches interests in the Holy Land, that is not actually the case and his immortal soul is in grave peril. The second and more terrible is that his beloved Beatrice has been murdered, and her soul pulled down into hell by a dark force. Vowing not to accept the damnation of either souls, he gives chase, vows to get Beatrice back and descends into the infamous nine circles of hell. For weapons, he wields Death’s soul-reaping scythe, and commands holy powers of the cross, given to him by Beatrice.

Scythe Combat
To vanquish the foes you encounter on your journey through the hell of Dante’s Inferno, you must learn to wield Death’s Scythe with precision and deadly force. Mix light attacks with heavy attacks to create combos, then incorporate jumps and grabs to add another layer to your combat. With dodging and Holy Cross moves thrown into the mix, you can truly become a force to be reckoned with. Without using all of your combative skills and techniques, there is no hope of ever reaching Beatrice.

Holy Powers
During your journey, you may collect magic abilities for use against the legions of hell. When you perform the Righteous Path power you make a dash attack and leave a trail of icy shards in your wake. With Martyrdom you sacrifice health and mana to deal a heavy amount of damage to surrounding enemies. Divine Armor regenerates your health and protects you from damage. Add these and other powers to your arsenal to vanquish all who stand in your way and when you need to replenish your mana-fueled abilities, visit the Holy Fountains scattered throughout the gameplay area.

Creature Taming
As powerful as weapons and magic are, sometimes surviving the perils of hell requires brute force. With the power of Death’s Scythe, you are able to mount the beasts of hell and use them against your enemies. All of this, however, requires ridding the beast of its current rider first. If successful, you will become the beast’s new master. Now use its awesome power to pulverize enemies and complete tasks that require a beast’s strength.

Story

God Of War: Chains Of Olympus

The third game in the God of War franchise, God of War: Chains of Olympus for PlayStation Portable is a prequel to the first two games in the series published for PlayStation 2, and true the high standards of God of War and God of War II, not only does it equal the efforts of its predecessors, in some ways it may even surpass them.

Kratos’ Story
The God of War franchise tells the tragic and violent story of the warrior Kratos and his dealings with the gods. The ancient world would eventually both praise and damn the infamous ‘Ghost of Sparta’ as the mortal who slayed a god, but long before his battle with Ares, Kratos sought absolution from his past sins by pledging himself as a champion to the gods. These brutal crusades in the name of Olympus became legendary, but would have far-reaching consequences. In Chains of Olympus Kratos is pushed to the edge as he is ordered by the gods to journey to the very depths of the underworld after the world plunges into darkness. There he must face the most feared creatures of Greek mythology and is forced to choose between his own personal redemption and saving the ancient world from certain destruction. God of War’s Epic Gameplay Comes to the PSP

From the bright gates of Attica to the darkest dungeons of Tartarus, Kratos’ journey and your own will take you through the dark and brutal world of Greek mythology. Here not only will your skill with the Blades of Chaos be tested, but your wits as well.

As you explore the dangers of the ancient world, players must be prepared to use their navigational skills as they press on through labyrinths of challenging puzzles. Some may be simple tests at manipulating the game’s environment to your advantage, while others much more difficult also requiring precision timing of moves, but each will be different and test you in new ways.

An Evolution in Franchise History
More than just a missing piece in the history of the God of War franchise, Chains of Olympus also serves as an evolutionary link between the origins of theGod of War franchise and its future. Originally developed for PlayStation 2, the future of the franchise is slated to make its arrival on PlayStation 3 in the form of the highly anticipated God of War III in the not too distant future. Not only is PlayStation Portable designed to work in unison with PlayStation 3 in many ways, but both long-time fans and newcomers to the series who choose to watch and play Chains of Olympus carefully may very well pick up clues as to the direction the franchise will be heading in with God of War III.
