  1. I got this about a week ago. Have played it for 10 hours or so. Although it has some interesting features, and is a one player game, which can be a relief from the rough and tumble online only games, SHELLSHOCK 2 can be rather difficult to get into. It is actually a sort of chapter by chapter game, going from slow to the point of distraction to “what the hey was that?” It certainly is not in the category of the newest games on the market, and is more in a reminder of earlier games that taught you how to play the newer games. I still plan to finish it and try for the hardest level to compare it to the online games in degrees of difficulty and to see how it comes out as far as a storyline is concerned. Keep in mind, I am relatively new to gaming, age 65, and ENDWAR is still kicking my booty, but I think serious gamers should probably look elsewhere for purchases. I do love the World at War series, this is NOT that quality.

  2. C. Palma says:

I saw some reviews of this game and to be honest yes, it does not deserve a 5 star but to my opinion, it lies between 3.5 to 4.

The game is pretty basic, find zombie and shoot him. The images are pretty gruesome and there are parts of the game that will actually make surprise you and make you jump. Yes, this game is not of high quality, my best guess would be a mix between a good PS1 Medal of Honor and the ‘horror’ of Resident Evil 5. I am in NO WAY comparing the game to either of those, but the ideas are there.

The controller takes a little to get used to and I had to change the motion sensibility on my PS3 to button combination, it just seemed as though the motion sensors were not picking up the controller movement, minor adjustment. Now, onto the gameplay. Like I said, a basic first person shooter, what makes this game fairly good is the gore, you can shoot the zombies and you will see their body parts explode, mind you, the ammo is scarce and you have to heavily rely on melee attacks for at least a good 1/4 of the game, to the advantage of the game, the melee works fine, it slows down your enemy and takes life away, not much, but just enough. I played it on the hardest level to make it challenging and I got a good kick out of it. The game is short but keeps you glued to your chair if you make it hard enough, and for a price under $20 (shipping included) I would say it is a good investment if you wish to shoot for some hours.

  4. window 98 game, maybe…this game on PS3, huh? Nonsense!! I really wonder what possibly can// why these developers makes this out of date FPS game. At a glance, seems like decent military shooter..In fact, frustrating Zombie game.

  5. All three suffer from the same basic problems though with wretchedly inaccurate controls, terrible graphics and level design as brain dead as the artificial intelligence. I can understand how the obviously low budget would limit the graphics, but there’s no excuse for the rest. Because the game knows it’s rubbish at rendering jungles as much as possible is actually set in different locales. This adds what would have been a welcome air of unpredictability in another, better, game but here it’s just a master class in bad set pieces. The multiple sieges are probably the worst as the endless stream of enemies run like doomed clockwork soldiers to their predestined firing spots. Incredibly for a first person shooter in this day and age there is no multiplayer mode, although given the quality of the rest of the game it was probably a mercy killing. As you’ll probably by now be expecting the game is also riddled with bugs, with glitchy graphics and AI. Please avoid it all costs. I just hope Rebellion sort themselves, and their budgets out for Sega’s Aliens Vs. Predator and Battlefront III.
