Nintendo DS Lite Dura-Case – Pink
This case is well built. It’s not exactly the same color pink as the DS Lite, but it is close. I like the extra slot for the spare stylus. I like that I can carry six games with me. I love that it’s a close fit. The only problem I had with it was that I had to let it sit open for a week before I used it. The inside smelled very, very strongly of plastic. It gave me a headache and transferred to the DS Lite when I put it in right the case right after opening it. After letting it sit open for a few days, the smell wasn’t as much of a problem, and when I let it sit a week, the smell went away.

I just got this case as a christmas gift and so far I love it. It holds the DS perfectly and the games fit right in the inside of the case. I haven’t put my stylus in it though. The one thing I wish it had come with was a strap, but it’s plastic so it seems like it will be great protection from accidental drops and you can carry games with you!

An inexpensive item that’s a bit bulky. I followed the advice of another customer and let the case air out overnight. It worked! But I was looking for something that would actually protect the DS while my daughter was playing it. After I purchased this item, my daughter accidentally dropped her DS at a Target parking lot! It slid across the parking lot and got a few scratches. My nephew has a DS and I noticed that his mom had purchased a protective case for him, too. It was a Nerf Armor and it was exactly what I wanted! It’s lightweight and truly provides protection! It was about the same price as this item.
If you’re looking for a carrying case, I suggest you look at Circuit City. They have a line of cases that are cute and hold 30 DS games and 6 Gameboy games. It’s a GPAK and it was under $20. It’s light and sturdy. I think it’s a better investment than this case. This case only holds 6 games. Amazon also carries some GPAK cases/organizers.

This is a well made product. The DS Lite fits perfectly inside. It holds 6 games and a spare stylus. The inside is padded to absorb shock if dropped. Overall it is well designed and worth the money. The color and surface finishing are both very pretty. It’s compact enough that you can carry it around in your handbag.
The only minor flaw is the push button one must press down to open the case. An adult could easily do it with one hand, but it may be a bit too tight for a small child. My daughter asked me to open it for her quite a few times until she learned how to apply forces correctly and quickly using both her thumbs.

My five year old daughter received this case for her DS for Christmas. And although it’s durable…she has the hardest time opening it. It’s hard for her little fingers to press the button. She used it for about a good week. She just got tired of asking an adult to open it for her. I think this case is good for older children who will not have a hard time pressing the release button.
