I am a big fan of the Luxor series and was excited to see that Luxor 3 was being released on the Wii.
My excitement turned to disappointment after I actually bought and played the game. Luxor is a game that demands fast action. However, the controls were very unresponsive, making quick moves extremely difficult. I still enjoyed this game enough to adjust to the poor controls and have fun while playing.
After getting used to the controls, I had a good time playing until the game froze when I made it to the 11th level. When it came time to load the 11th level, a shrill screech was blasted through my speakers and the game was completely inoperable. In fact, the game crashed my entire Wii. I had to unplug the Wii and then plug it back in to make my Wii operable again. I tried several times to reset and reload the game, but to no avail. There are no discernable scratches or smudges on the disc.
This game was released in an unacceptable form and I am very disappointed. Even if the controls are poorly designed, at the very least the developers should have programmed a game that at the very least can be played until the end.

I am truly upset with Luxor 3 for wii.
Having bought PC & Wii versions of the each in the Luxor series ….. stating I was a loyal customer was an understatment.
After spending 3 weeks playing Luxor 3 to get to level 11 – only to encounter a game stopping glinch.
I exchanged that copy and got another copy only to have the same results again.
I called Nintendo to inform them of the error.
They directed me towards Mumbo Jumbo company which does not have a toll free phone number and would require me to send them [...]$ for a replacement cd.
At this point, I am cutting my losses and moving on to another game by another company.
I will no longer buy Mumbo Jumbo games which is just a darn shame.

Upon receiving the game, I thought it was great fun. Unfortunately the controls don’t respond crisply and sometimes the cursor lags behind or doesn’t move. It’s not too bad though, just once in awhile. What’s bad is the game freezes at the 11th and I believe final stage. Here is the absolutely INEXCUSABLE part, Mumbo Jumbo won’t make good on it. I sent an inquiry to their support email and also sent a letter to their postal address and THEY WILL NOT RESPOND. It is UNACCEPTABLE! It’s been over 2 months now, more than enough time for them to respond and even correct the issue. It’s really a shame, because the Luxor series had been one of my favorites but I’m not going to give my hard earned dollars to a company that knows they have a faulty product on the market, will not fix and does not have the decency to respond to their customers.

Love the game and have played it many times. Just don’t continue after Level 11-7, be ready for the game to wipe out your score so you have to start over, and also, several of the puzzles are completely impossible, due to a programming issue. I’ve played all the levels, but never make it thru Insane due to the game resetting.

My son has played Luxor on the PC, but when we got the Wii he wanted this game. Same as the PC game. Super fun. Kind of weird to get use to using the remote instead of a mouse, but I still like playing it better on the Wii. Puzzle modes are fun, as you go up levels it’s more challenging. My 5 year son blows me away playing the puzzle modes, if I’m suck he grabs the remote from me and solves them for me! Kind of sad, but it’s amazing to watch him play. Really a fun game!
