This controller is better than Logitech’s Dual Action USB, even if you ignore the added vibration feature. The area under the four main buttons has been hollowed out, making it easier to hit them, and all the buttons have a slightly higher-quality feel.

The biggest improvement is in the D-Pad. The D-Pad of the dual action is terrible, which makes it unusable for many types of games. For example, it is impossible to reliably use even simple fighting game moves such as SubZero’s freeze or Ken/Ryu’s fireball. The Rumblepad’s D-pad, however, is much improved, plus it has a useful button that swaps the D-Pad and the left analog stick in case your game doesn’t recognize the D-Pad (some don’t). The D-Pad feels a little strange, and it doesn’t quite reach the quality of the D-Pads on Nintendo or Sony products, but it does the job.

I have this pad, a Logitech Dual Action, and a Saitek P880, and I recommend this pad as the best of the three (unless you need six thumb buttons or a shift button, in which case Saitek is still a good choice, with or without vibration).

I like this gamepad a lot. It’s got a very solid feel. I’m using it with emulator games on my pc, like snes, n64, etc. Everything feels right on it, and installation was easy (just plugged it in). It feels very similar to a Playstation 2 controller (and similar control layout) but feels thicker, and the ergonomics are better (the surface material has a very nice texture and seems to fight hand sweating). Rumble feature works well if your game supports it. Looks slick too. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a good gamepad.

This is my first ever gamepad for a PC and it sure beats using the keyboard (for gaming). This USB controller is the best on the market for PC gaming. It’s very simliar to the PS2 controller. Fits very comfortably in my hands. Logitech did a fantastic job w/ it’s ergonomics. Personally, I wish they would’ve added some color to it by using transparent “jewel” buttons instead of the black. Maybe even make the whole thing transparent (like some PS2/XBOX controllers). It has a steel blueish metallic finish. Great price point, I got mine for 23 & change. WIN98,2000,Me, & XP, Mac OS X (v10.2.3+)…. no “rumble” feature w/ macs

This is an OK controller. It feels really nice in your hands. The analog controllers have a really nice feel and good sensitivity.

The force feedback does not work with Need for Speed Most Wanted. I have searched the internet for an answer, but have yet to find one, so hopefully someone here can help me. I have read that newer EA games don’t work with this controller’s force feedback. I also have a Saitek P2500 controller and the force feedback does work with Need for Speed Most Wanted.

Consider how many EA games you have in your collection before you purchase this controller.

I’ll stick with my Saitek, with I actually like better.

I got this gamepad to replace the dual action pad because the dual action pad sucks becuase of the d-pad. The directional pad on this game pad is a million times better than the one on the dual action pad. I highly recommend this gamepad to any one who like to play sports games and or console emulation.
