HdO Adventure: Secrets of the Vatican

The scenes are pretty and the story is (short but) interesting, but there are some weird times when you’re just removing coverings rather than finding objects, and I don’t mean “it feels that way because it’s easy”, I mean it’s literally removing pieces of the covering to a puzzle. And the puzzle underneath (this happens 4 times, one for each city) is cute at first but becomes tedious rather quickly.
As far as finding things, there is a zoom function that comes it quite handy at times, and sometimes it’s absolutely necessary. The scenes are all beautiful, but there aren’t very many of them, and there is not one single case of re-visiting a scene to find new things. But aside from the tedium I mentioned above, it’s comparable to other hidden-object games, I think.
I know we all expect these kinds of low-price games to be pretty short, and I don’t usually pay attention to that in the reviews, but I downloaded the trial, bought the full game and finished it, and have written this review all within about 2.5 hours. If you’re clever, you might be able to get through the whole game within Amazon’s trial period!
