Gel Tabz Universal Silicon Grip

- Gel Tabz are fantastic for FPS’s on the PS3, but not the Xbox 360 controller. I way prefer the FPS Freek on those, and vice versa on the PS3.. The FPS Freek simply puts the thumbsticks on the PS3 way too high, for accurate face button use. Keep in mind that the gel tabs do add some extension to the stick, just the right amount, vs. the FPS Freek (on the PS3 controller)
-Gel Tabz should be used with permanent superglue applied to the inside in small dots, and then mounted as quickly and cleanly as possible. You simply will not see any sliding or movement from the center position at all, but it needs to be done with some planning and thought, prior to permanently installing them on the PS3 sticks.
- I highly recommend these, with a good pair of G-grips or others out there. Havent tried the rocket grips, but I think they will be almost as good, given a permanent adhesion to the controller.

I was looking for something to go over the thumbsticks of my 360 controller since my 1 year old son decided to chew off the rubber that was on them. They’re pretty easy to put on, they look great, feel great and the price was easy on the wallet. They cover up the exposed plastic on my thumbsticks and now I can play forza 3 without getting a callus on my thumb, and its much cheaper than going out and getting a new controller! I recommend them

not only does it provide less grip than the original thumb stick surface, they actually ride up a bit which is so darn annoying. have to say, not a total waste of money because it comes with a third gel thingy for the wii nunchuck that seems to have a nice traction to it. thats just me making lemonade out of lemons. its a pretty random thing to add to the package though. trust me,, don’t wast your money on this even if it is just 4 bucks.

I’ll make this short and straight to the point. I bought these “grips” from a local gamestop and tried them out. Due to the material they’re made of, they actually provided less grip than the stock control sticks on the controller itself. It’s really contradicting since one would buy these to achieve better control. If anything, these slippery pieces of silicon will make any controller look slightly cooler. If your hands happen to sweat while you play, you’re even more prone to slipping off the sticks. Avoid these and purchase FPS Freek control sticks instead (by Kontrol Freek).
