I can agree slightly that it is cheap. The plastic isn’t as hard as I would have thought in some places but it doesn’t take away from the purpose. These are simple and effective grips for your PSP. They work very well and hold the PSP in place nicely. It makes switching games not as easy without it but relieves your palms from craps and provides a better grip of the PSP. They work fine while walking, normal play etc. It is a bit bulky to carry, the arms that hold the PSP in place dont fold in or anything but other than that these are great. Cheap, practical and essential!

As others have said, this is a pretty cheaply made product. Thought I’d give it a chance anyway and bought one. Once I had it in hand, I had high hopes for it because the grips actually felt pretty nice. The problem is that the PSP doesn’t lock into it well. Game has to be situated perfectly to lock in at all, but even then, it slides out easily with normal game play. There are 2 tabs on the top and two on the bottom, but something should have been done to prevent side to side movement.
I’m gonna try other products to see if I can find one the works well. I’d advise to stay away from this.

I have been playing GTA VCS relentlessly for the past few weeks and my hands hurt like heck – especially my left thumb. By the simple attachment of these grips to my PSP I have created a MUCH more comfortable and ergonomic playtime.
The only thing I could possibly improve upon it would be to strengthen the clips that hold it to the PSP – sometimes it wiggles a little and I have to straighten it out, but it is WELL WORTH THE EFFORT!
If only Sony had thought about ergonomics when it was designing the PSP!

This is an excellent product for intense play. I would play my PSP for long periods of time and after awhile my fingers, particularly my thumbs, would feel cramped from holding the PSP. When I first looked online for an attachable grip for the PSP there were several things that I was worried about; first of all, it had to be compatable with the PSP Slim, it would have to hold the PSP firmly, and it would have to be of good quality; something that won’t break very easily if I happen to be rough with it. So I managed to make my way over to Amazon to see what I could find. I purchased this PSP Grip after a bit of speculation. Please disregard the other reviews. This grip is overall an excellent purchase for a very low price. The grip is a little flimsy when you extend it open and hold it without the PSP attached and it can bend very easily. There are four plastic pieces that hold the PSP Slim in place. While it is not a very firm grip, it still holds the PSP good enough. (It’s not like you’re going to be throwing your arms all over the place and jerking it wildly.) If you pushed with your fingers, you can push it left or right in the grip, which shows that the grip is not very firm, but it will not come off during gameplay and is firm enough to be effective. It’s also very nice to hold. (Basically feels like you’re holding a Playstation controller.) I’ve had mine for a year now, and I have been quite rough with it in the past, but it is in great shape and hasn’t broken yet so I would highly recommend this nifty little item for your PSP Slim.
