David’s review,
The Lego Police Station has 783 pieces. I like it because I like how the jail cell doors open and close. It was pretty hard to build even though it says ages 6-12. If you buy this set, I think you will like it. It is the best set in Lego City. It has lots of great minifigures, including two robbers, four policemen, and a dog. It is a good set to play with even after you’ve finished building.

|Lego Mania,
As a child, we moved around a lot, and quite often flew Lufthansa, and my sisters and I would receive little toy boxes of Lego’s. I told my son this, and he looked at me as if Lego’s were just invented last year.
So, thirty plus years later, my 8 yr old has become infatuated with Lego’s, to the point that we save each box; when taken apart, each section is placed in the bag with it’s individual instruction booklet- if he could, he would set up an invisible laser system to keep my 3 year old from touching his sacred City.
He has most of the City, and if Lego came out with more items to purchase for the City collection, he would pick up sticks, again, in the front yard for money to buy them.
Granted, Lego’s are not the cheapest toy, but if it makes him use his imagination, and not have something (T.V.) do it for him, I’ll gladly spend what money I can budget into keeping his mind at work.
Definitely a keeper- but I don’t remember the pieces being that small.

|I am decorating my home with Legos!,
The police headquarter/station was purchased for our Grandson for Christmas. He loves it! It stays on our coffee table 24/7 and he gets upset if I move it to clean. He has added two large helicopters and one small one, a plane, prisoner transport, one motorcycle and two K-9 dogs to this set. The set is fine for a six year old if they love to put things together and it teaches them to follow directions. I purchased a Rubbermaid tote to store all the instruction booklets just in case something gets broken or needs repair. He loves moving all the officers around and pretending what the bad guys are trying to do. I would reccommend going to Lego.com and letting your little ones see the videos they have there. They are free and my Grandson loves them and it encourages creative play for him. Lego also has a free magazine you can subscribe to, and he loves getting mail. So, it is the bomb…but my family roomm decor is ..a little different than I had planned. That’s OK, I am raising a Grandchild not trying to get on House beautiful. If he is happy so is MeMe.

|Many different play scenes in one box!,
My kids (7 & 8yrs old) are Lego fanatics, and this is their favorite set so far. I bought this along with a Lego Community Workers set and they have spent hours playing with it! They have set up a skate and bike shop – the friendly mechanic there sells bikes, helmets, and skateboards, fixes wheels and also services the bus. There is a pizza shop where friends meet and Moms and Dads have date nights (LOL), the place is always packed. The bus stop is always busy with people waiting. The bus is amazing and can hold many people.
I love the educational value of this set. It is hard to find real-world role playing toys for boys so they can act out real life situations. I highly recommend getting the City Corner and the Community Worker minifigure set together. Now we are deciding what other places we will build – like a school, a grocery store, a hospital. The City Corner can be the jumping-off point for building your entire Lego city!
You can’t beat Legos for durability. I know these toys will be in my family for as long as they are wanted.
This set should be at the top of your child’s list!

|My Son is Now Addicted to LEGOS!,
My 8 year old was kind of into LEGOS so long as he had assistance, but this kit inspired him to work solo. He loved creating each structure and is eager to build more parts of Lego City! Love how each building or bus is in its own bag – makes for quick play. The directions were easy for my son to do on his own. He is HOOKED.

|Great Lego Addition To Our Collection,
I bought this for my daughter who is building a Lego town. She really found it easy to build, except for the bus which was a little tricky. It is fun to sit the people in the pizza parlor at tables. Also, you can get the pizza lady to put a pizza in a little oven with a door that opens. On the second floor of the pizza parlor there are windows that open. There is a skate shop that sells skateboards and hats. It comes with a guy that has a helmet and skateboard, so you can ride him around the city. The bus stop has a bench area that people can sit on especially a little business man guy. The detail in this set is impressive. Lego has come a long way since I was a kid.
