My 12 year old daughter loves this game. It challenges her to use her head and her eye site to figure out the puzzle. It’s a great game.

I wanted something to help sharpen my observation skills as well as to help kill my lunch hour. This fits the bill. The directions are a bit sketchy on some of the games, but it was easy to get the hang of without dragging out the manual. It’s a fun game that is easy to put down at the end of the break and with are multiple mini games to choose from it is hard to be bored with it. The only thing that is keeping this from being a 5 star game is the cheesy music that you can’t change (I just turn off the volume on my DS) and the graphics are pretty cheap. But the game does what it is designed to do, help with observation and analysis skills. All in all – would I recommend it to a friend? Yes.

Basics: The mini-games can be played individually or four at a time in evaluation mode.
The ten mini-games are selecting an outlined shaped from a larger collage of shapes, spotting the difference between two pictures, selecting an object that is missing from two otherwise identical collections, counting numbers, remembering the correct colors and locations on a grid, selecting a shape that was irregularly divided, reading numbers as they zoom by, remembering the correct shape and position of different objects that are sequentially introduced, matching two characters in an array, remembering which objects flashed last for a particular pattern.
Pros:
Has graphs so you can easily track your progress and also see how much you need to score in order to rank on each individual mini-game’s high scores list.
Earning the number 1 ranking on most mini-games or the top grades in evaluation mode is rather challenging.
Cons:
The harder version of each mini-game has to be re-accessed each time you play through excelling in the standard version which leads to one having to re-do basic-level questions many more times than need be.
The evaluation-mode reports and the commentary from the characters aren’t particularly useful.
Comments: I found the mini-games to be mostly well-designed and fun as far as brain training goes. While this game is not in the same league as Nintendo or Gameloft brain training products, it is a solid addition to a DS brain training collection.

This is not as good as Brain Age 1 and 2. It seems at first as if it would be for children, only, but all ages can be challenged by it. It was challenging for me after playing it awhile. The ideas are simple and appear too easy, but again like Best Tests, it is gets better because the speed and amount of knowledge increases as you advance to new levels. This is one of several games I play. I do not like to play it for long periods, but it is a change of pace for me.

I thought I’d just breeze thru this and be done is one sitting. Ha ha. LOL. Some of the things I flat out failed. It is a fast paced game and you don’t have much time to answer each question or you get it wrong.
It lets you choose your own “nurse who guides you, they are sisters and have very different personalities.
This is a great addition to an adults brain game collection.
