7 Wonders of the Ancient World

This is exactly the type of game I can play just about forever and not get bored with it. Frustrated, yes, but not bored. I’ve been able to complete the levels 3 times, but each time you complete all the levels and start over, the game gets progressively harder. Each of the 8 levels has 8 different sub-levels, or puzzles, progressing in difficulty. The trick is, with this game, that when you notice time is about to run out (the game will tell you to “hurry up”), you can press the start button which will pause your game and you can quit at that point. When you start play again, you’ll be at the same sub-level. This way you don’t lose a life; although invariably, you sometimes get caught up in the activity and don’t realize the time is running out. You do get three lives, and lives are added at various points in the game, but the most I’ve ever had is 6, and managed to lose them all. It’s a special skill to be that bad. I really do like this game though.

This game will definatly help improve your eyesight! You have to look for identical runes ( colored shapes ) put in groups of three’s. There are several levels to compleet before you can move on. It is highly adictive if you are a puzzle junkie. The only draw back to the game is, if you use up all your extra lives the game doesn’t save where you left off. You must start all over again. This can become very frustrating. I’ve almost compleeted the game twice and then wound up blowing it at the end. Over all, it’s a fun brain teasing game.

Great game for all ages! Easy to learn, great for first time players too! This is an easy yet challenging game when you get to the upper levels, but not so difficult that a young child couldn’t be successful! It’s also the type of game where you can quit and then pick it up later and be able to play without any trouble.

If you love “puzzle” games like Zuma, Luxor, Bejeweled, mah jong – you will love this game. I downloaded this game forever ago for free on my pc and played my free time in one sitting. VERY ADDICTIVE. You have to match tiles – 3 at a time – to clear them from the board breaking the blocks of the pyramid. Got it as the 2nd game for my DS and it is just as good if not better than the PC version.

I wish some of the other reviews had been clearer in letting me know that you do the same thing in every level. If all you want to do is move tiles to match up sets of 3 like colors you will like it. Every level is repetative! Okay to play for a few minutes for some pretty mindless relaxation. If I had known this was all that was involved I would have saved my money.
10/7/09- Edit to original comments: After owning and playing this game for over a month I have changed my opinion. You get hooked on trying to beat each level and some are very challenging. I am glad I purchased.
